The King, the Queen and the Wizard
If my memory serves me well, this allegorical painting, about the pains of growing up and the distance between child and parent, was inspired by a short story within that marvellous novel by John Fowles, The Magus. I painted it in the Seventies, shortly after returning to Australia from the UK.
