Observatory Hill, Sydney
This is Observatory Hill in Sydney's Rocks District. The Observatory was built in 1858, and its prime function was to measure time correctly. At 1 PM precisely, the ball at the top of the tower would be dropped, and a cannon on Fort Denison in the harbour would be fired.

This is almost a heritage painting as there are plans to build a massive casino and other structures on the waterfront which will forever block this view.
