Saint James Park, London

When I lived in London for six years in the Swinging Sixties, I used to walk regularly from my home in Pimlico to the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square. My preferred route took me through St James Park.
Facing East from the bridge across the main pond, the delightful 'fairy-tale' buildings housing the Foreign Office (and other institutions) come into view. I have had an itch to paint this view for many a year. |
