The White House

During the 70s, I often drove down to the South Coast of New South Wales and found inspiration there for numerous small landscapes. I think that "The White House" was in Jamberoo Valley, but I can't be certain of that. If you recognise the scene, please email me.
I particularly enjoyed paintings of Georgian houses nestled mysteriously among large trees. There is a touch of a fairytale element in some of these works. The style I selected for them seems to reflect that aspect. Update: 23/11/10 Someone emailed me a little while ago and confirmed that this house was indeed in Jamberoo Valley. A friend of theirs had been living in it. |
