I made a day trip to Segovia from Madrid. The outstanding feature in Segovia is this Ancient Roman Aqueduct. It was possibly built in the 1th Century AD. At its highest point it reaches 28.5 metres. It continued to provide water to Segovia until the 19th Century.
The dome of the Cathedral of Segovia is glimpsed beyond the roof tops.
An angel blows his trumpet in the Cathedral.
Is it a bandstand, a gazebo or a pavillion?
The Plaza Mayor in Segovia.

It seems that every Spanish city I visited has a Plaza Mayor. Google Translate says that the word "mayor" can mean either higher, major, bigger, main, chief, senior, elder or utmost. Take your pick!

I visited Priego de Cordoba on a day trip from Cordoba. The name Cordoba applies to both the city as well as the Province. Priego is well to the South East of the city of Cordoba.
Wikipedia writes:

The oldest section of Priego is its Barrio de la Villa. It is bordered on one side by the town's natural fortress, a high cliff. The alleys that wind through this part of the town are Moorish in style, decorated with flower pots and religious icons. Some homes still have the ancient tunnel system that went from their cellars (bodegas) to the castle.

The Spanish take great pleasure in festivals and events. The entire family will dress up and take part in festivities of all kinds. This is a preparation for a First Communion.

It is always a pleasure for a hard-working tourist to sit in an open air cafe and enjoy a Cortado (we call it a Macchiato in Oz, thanks to our Italian heritage).
