On a day trip North from Perpignan to Narbonne, the train passed this castle, known as the Salses le Chateau. Unfortunately I didn't visit this fort. I just took a few photos as the train sped past. Next time!
This is the Cathedral Saint Just et Saint Pasteur de Narbonne. Thanks to the changed economic circumstances which confronted Narbonne in the 14th Century, the Cathedral was never finished according to its original plans. Half the Nave is missing!

There was a mass on when I visited so I couldn't take photos of the truncated interior.

The Archbishop's Palace, Narbonne.
The Canal de la Robine. Work began on this Canal in the 16th Century.
There was a lively book fair in a marquee next to the Canal.
The exterior of the market place known as Les Halles.
The busy interior of Les Halles.
